As Webmaster of the James Clarke Family Web Site, I would like to welcome you to the pages that you will find within this document.
This document would not have been possible without the "footwork" of Brenda Greene Trimble who was urged by her mother Mary Laura Clarke Greene to visit out Aunt Martha to make some notes about our ancestors. It is because of the that request and the ensuing footwork we have this document.
The James Clarke Family History was recounted by Martha Anne Clarke from the 1700's to 1980's. Portions were contributed by Sarah Easther Clarke Stewart, Mary Laura Clarke Greene, Mack Kelley Clarke, Herman Eugene Clarke, Edith Coster Clarke and George Keith Greene.
Recording of the history was done by Brenda Green Trimble and this web site was developed and maintained by Karl David Clark, with all maps drawn by Dewey W. Greene, Jr..
Martha Clarke held several documents verifying the family history of the 1800's.
