Martha recalled a big social gathering when her brother Will got married. Both she and George were quite young and all aghast at the big event in their home. As the reception line greeted Wil and Stella, most neighbors and friends shook hands with the bride and groom and said, "I wish you much happiness" or "I wish you much joy".

Martha and George stood in the doorway, taking all of this in. Thye later went to play in the yard and the game was wedding reception, there they wished each other much happiness and joy for the remainder of the day.
